A magnificent and entirely substantial piece of vintage heavy cut crystal — a vase of exceptional weight, clarity, and cutting quality, worked in the finest Bohemian / Central European tradition. Water-clear and brilliantly polished, this vase catches and refracts light with extraordinary intensity, sending prismatic flashes across any surface it stands on. The form is a deeply faceted octagonal cylinder — eight flat vertical panels running the full height of the vase, each one a canvas for the cutter's art. The upper panels are decorated with large 8-pointed star / snowflake medallions, deeply engraved and polished to a brilliant finish, each one a miniature masterpiece of symmetry and precision.
