Vintage Royal KPM Bavaria Porcelain Hair Receiver, Floral Vanity Pot, 8 cm
A charming small vintage porcelain vanity pot, marked Royal Porzellan Bavaria KPM Germany Handarbeit. Delicate trailing foliage, small blue-purple flowers and a pink-red floral accent decorate its glossy white, softly lobed body.
The removable cover has a circular opening in the centre. This form is consistent with a hair receiver, a dressing-table container traditionally used to collect hair from a brush. Its original purpose has not been conclusively verified, so it is offered as a decorative vanity pot with an open-centred cover.
